It’s been a while… a long while…

Well, despite pretty regular urging from Marty… “you need to blog” is a fairly common refrain… I can’t convince him to do it. But here’s a literal year in review.

Last summer we visited Dave and Stacy in Fairbanks before returning home. We were only out of the village about three weeks. Upon our return we (mostly Marty) spent a considerable amount of time exploring and playing outside. (video included below)

School was a great, we felt prepared for the year and the weather ahead so there was a lot less uncertainty about whether or not we would enjoy it. We continue to be in awe of the place we live and in love with the people of our community.

In March Connor, Victoria, and their friend Nikki met us in Anchorage, we were there for state basketball, my girls did AWESOME and came close to bringing home the ‘ship!, and we got to spend some great time with the kids…we ALSO purchased a great snow machine… one I won’t worry is going to crap out on him and one I am much less worried I will flip over on… hey it’s not unfounded, I have laid down the other one on several occasions.

This summer we went home to visit family and friends in OK. It was awesome to get to spend time with those we love and miss.

What follows is a year in review of pics and a video of pics Marty put together as well as some short clips from throughout the year. Will attempt to stay more on top of blogging but don’t want to be repetitive. Hope to see some of you come visit this year!! Come enjoy the beauty and experience the last frontier!

Exploring the road to the pit…Since this video was taken, a year ago, erosion from the river has knocked the majority of the road off into the river.
A team of military Dr.s came to provide health care, their arrival was pretty dramatic. (I had to pick them up at the airport).

I LOVE your blogs, please keep them coming! It’s hard to see everyone whenever you come back to Ada, but I am hoping to see you both next time you are here. You both look so very happy and that makes my heart happy for you. Much love to both of you and continue your terrific work where there is no doubt your skills are valued and appreciated!
